Danalyth is a succubus who poses as a human and travels the world, offering her services as either a musician, dancer, or spellcaster-for-hire. She's been a part of the [[Campaign 3 Party]] from the start.

== Background ==
Danalyth Aerydale is a succubus, born in the Outer Rifts a few decades before her arrival to Golarion. She was born alongside another succubus, Elyana, and the two of them grew close to each other, even referring to themselves as sisters. In 4710 AR, Danalyth and Elyana traversed the Worldwound and arrived to Golarion, deciding to wreak their subtle forms of havoc across the nation of Mendev for fun. They spent roughly 3 years in this cycle, moving from town to town and indulging in the commonfolk, until the more united demonic forces happened to attack the city they were staying in, Kenabres, and Elyana was left at death's door. She sent Danalyth away before she was killed too, telling her to travel the world and live on, and Danalyth fled to join Kenabres's refugees moving to Zharech. Disillusioned with the demonic "cause" and shellshocked by her sister's death, Danalyth took on her new name, rejected her demonic heritage, and leaned more into her music as a form of escapism, using her performances as both an outlet for her emotions and a way to make a living.

For a short while after arriving in Zharech, Danalyth became a street performer, barely making enough spare change for inn stays. That changed one day when a human man named Vorgan stopped for her music, and invited her to perform at Zharech's coliseum for the local gladiators. She took him up on his offer and discovered he was one of the gladiators himself, and through her frequent performances the two got to know each other fairly well, enough to start dating. After about 4 years, they got engaged, and several months before their planned wedding date, Danalyth started noticing early signs of pregnancy, which shouldn't have been possible for her as a demon. A few weeks into her symptoms, the sealing of the Worldwound and the end of the Fifth Crusade was announced, and Danalyth decided to come clean to her fiance about who she really was, spurred forward by the crusade and the thought of her child outing her anyway. He was horrified. Vorgan had lost family in the crusades of the past, and finding out that the woman he loved was a demon the whole time was too much for him to bear. They had a shouting match that resulted in Danalyth storming out and leaving Mendev, which she wouldn't return to for almost a decade.

Whether due to her trauma, or the pregnancy hormones no demon had ever felt before her, the next many months of Danalyth's life are a complete black spot in her memory. All she can recall from this time is a sense of fear at the person she was during it. When her memory finally returned to her, she was alone, no longer pregnant, and far far away from Mendev. For the next 7 years, Danalyth followed Elyana's last words, traveling and seeing the world, living on despite the pain while looking for any clues of what happened during her blacked out memory, particularly wanting to know if she ended up having the baby. She spent that time using everything she had access to to survive and make her way forward, using either her performative talent or inherent charms to find places to stay, traveling companions to keep her safe, and occasional one-night stands. Sometimes, she would offer up her magical capabilities as well, though she didn't rely on that as often, until she was approached by a half-oni looking to break her friend out of prison.

== Campaign 3 ==
Danalyth was relaxing at a tavern on Iblydos, conning some off-duty guards and civilians for a little drinking money, when [[Kaisume Mubutsu|Kaisume]] noticed her tricks and decided to join the game, getting desperate in looking for someone else to help her break [[Shard]] out of prison. After a game of Golem and a little talking back and forth, Danalyth agreed to the job and the pair set off to get themselves arrested and sent to the prison island where Shard was being held. Upon their arrival, they were interred by a guard named [[Serris Gladuc|Serris]], who seemed preoccupied and didn't remove them of their belongings or ask many questions he was supposed to, instead leaving the pair unattended so they could be a distraction. Danalyth and Kaisume prepared, and threatened the guard who came to check on them to bring them to Shard, but the guard attacked once they were all on the bridge. Unbeknownst to the duo, three other plots to break Shard free began around the same time: Serris's, [[Elta]] and [[Leah]]'s, and [[Grease]]'s. After Shard was freed from her cell and partway through the battle for everyone to escape, however, [[Orin Chappell]] arrived to take Shard to [[The Master]]. The battle intensified, Grease was kicked out a wall and into the ocean, and all the teams just barely managed to escape from the prison island using both Elta's boat and a ship prepared in advance by Serris. Though, this wasn't the end of the day's troubles, as once the group all reconvened on the larger ship and made their introductions, they were taken in by a whirlpool and woke up on a beach far, far away, near the Hoarwood Forest.

Upon some of the group waking up, they were set upon by a group of scavenging kobolds. One took the former guard Serris's blade and stabbed Danalyth with it, but she used the metal of the sword for Needle Darts to kill it. Looking around, she realized she didn't see Serris at all on the beach, so she held on to his sword to give back to him later. On the edge of the battlefield, Danalyth felt the need to direct her attention away from the woods behind her, and when she did Serris appeared behind her to take his sword back and rejoin combat, but she realized she hadn't heard any sign of him approaching her. He just...appeared. But as the battle progressed, new faces joined the fray against the kobolds, [[Lora]] the orc and [[Haize]] the human, the latter accompanied by an interesting bird named Mirage. After the battle, these new folks brought the party back to their base of operations, the Hilltop Tavern.

== Start of session ==
The party woke, and then! Woah, Kora showed up and murdered Eleanor's dragon!!

== Combat ==
Kora yells she won't leave until she decapitates Mear's head from her body. When asked by Danalyth to chill, Kora replies she refuses to let a single shell of the Master live. Eleanor reiterates that things can be resolved peacefully, while Shard asks how Kora is so certain Mear is a shell. Kora claims that, beyond the obvious M name, her boss has access to a list with known Master shells, and that Mear is on it. Danalyth says that the issue Kora is concerned with is probably dealt with already, and attempts to cast Calm, though it doesn't take hold. Elta jumps off the balcony and does a front flip (hell yeah). Shard attempts to reason with Kora, asking if she's on a time limit, and that if Kora can prove that Mear is a shell, the party will gladly assist her. Kora is concerned that giving Mear any time at all is a risk she cannot take. She strikes down Eleanor, and rushes towards the hiding Mear.

Danalyth and Kaisume attempt to slow Kora down, but are unsuccessful. Elta shoots lightning, and hurts both Kora and Kaisume. Crimie goes in for a bite, but only gets slashed in the process. Shard quickly constructs a scrap barricade, hindering Kora's path. Leah manages to heal up Eleanor, who regains consciousness. Serris tries to grapple Kora but falls flat on his ass instead.

Conscious once more, Eleanor pleads with Kora, revealing she knows about Mear being one of the Master's faces. However, Mear no longer knows who or what the Master is. Furthermore, Eleanor needs a shell of the Master nearby due to a contract she's under. Kora thinks this is stupid and idiotic and shit. Shard is visibly pissed but manages to diffuse the situation. Kora sighs, sheathes her blade, and punches Elta in the face. Shard asks one last question before Kora leaves, explaining her group is also looking to thwart the Master. Since Kora's boss has a list of shells, she asks if Kora can tell who her boss is, in case they wish to work together in the future. Kora scoffs, says she doesn't work with morons, and bounces.

== After combat ==
Eleanor shares more, doesn't want to share why the contract was made in front of everybody, but says she isn't hiding any more. Danalyth checks on Mear. as does Eleanor. Mear says she's okay. People are sad about the dragon being dead. Mear heard all of that btw since people were shouting. Angelica takes Mear, and flies off to 'take care of her' (i.e. remove that conversation from her memory).

Eleanor shares more of her predicament: during her adventures she died, then luckily got resurrected with reincarnation spell into a tiefling body. Somehow gaining devil blood created contract; she never signed it but she's still bound to it. All she knows is that she now needs to stay within a certain distance of a body of The Master, and has to obey every command they give. Thanks to an angelic relic, she no longer resembles a tiefling in body.

Danalyth asks if Eleanor is willing to part with said relic, as it can aid in her own current predicament. Unfortunately for her, Eleanor isn't willing to part with it at all. Danalyth asks if Eleanor knows about 'a great archive in the north'. Eleanor does not, but Shard remembers visiting the Archives of Nethys from her past adventures with the [[Heroes of Melfesh]]. Serris asks if he may observe the relic. Eleanor agrees, and brings it over. It is a necklace with a golden bead at the end of it, given to her by Angelica. Serris converses with it, then tries to get a sense of it. It feels overwhelming when he reaches out: it is a part of him. Like a limb he didn't know he had. Serris even finds a spot in his sword form where it would perfectly fit. Serris quickly hands the necklace back, so he doesn't have to fight the temptation of fitting the piece in.

Eleanor asks if Shard still wishes to work together, but Shard no longer thinks it's a good idea, given Mear would be under the same roof as them. She further explains that even with Mear's memories being removed, the linking between the shells might still pose a threat, and reiterates her displeasure at Eleanor not being upfront with this information. Before they leave, Serris talks one last time with the necklace, and encourages them to take a name for themself. The necklace takes up the name of [[Abel Gladuc]].

Their business concluded, the party gets guided back above water by Eleanor.

== Back above the waves ==
Back in the city, the party apologizes to the captain for leaving the cursed ship on her docks. They then make Grease blow it up. But not in the city, that would be bad. The bat suggests opening a portal to the nightmare realm for safe detonation, and sends the ship and the party there. It's not fun everyone sees their worst fears. Grease runs his hand along the boat, and causes the biggest explosion anyone has ever seen.

The party awakens the next day. Grease remembers who he is once more. He made pancakes, but they're explosive. Leah lights one, not knowing the resulting explosion would be strong enough to level a building.

The building explodes.

Vis checks on the party, wondering what the fuck happened. Danalyth hands her 20 platinum as an apology. Shard asks if the city has any resurrection magic, and Vis reveals that they now do, with the cult's divinity now having an avatar. The party heads to the lighthouse to talk with Birkstone and [[Madame Baya]].

Birkstone is told about the events under the waves, as well as Grease's recovery. When asked what the next step is, Birkstone reveals he knows exactly where the party should strike next: the [[Archives of Nethys]], where [[Ivy]] can be found, as well as [[Shouko Kuroiwa|Shouko]]. On top of that, with [[Grease]]'s help, they might be able to blow into the forbidden library as well. He also warns of another faction in play: the [[Crimson Clouds]]; the cult that raised Crimie.

Madame Baya is a bitch and shares shit with the party how fucking dare she.

Char got the party a bunch of magic items, which include a cursed tablet that bonded to Shard. She needs to complete the unfinished business of a specific dead person or become a ghost when she dies, but the tablet is too weathered to read. The party also got a portrait of [[Almeyra]] that will cross her out if she betrays the Winter Court, which is not yet crossed out. The implications of this are unclear.

Shard used the tracking gem to spy on [[Ruby]] and [[Samirah]], where she saw that Ruby is on a carriage, traveling through an unknown snowy region.

== Reuniting at Hilltop ==
Their business finished (and presence slightly unwelcome), the party sets up their portal, and returns to Hilltop Tavern, planning to use one of the portals below to travel to the Archives. They are first greeted by an unexpected face: [[Orin Chappell]], just chilling there. Shard is the first to approach, asking him if he's back to normal. Orin starts to explain that he's currently fine and that the Master's control is mostly removed, but is swiftly interrupted in his explaining by Shard giving him a hug.

He soon after explains his current situation in more detail: the Master's control is mostly removed/suppressed, but it's still best to be cautious in case any fragments of it still linger. Similarly, the chip in his neck has been removed, though Orin does not share how difficult accomplishing this was (and how instrumental [[Miyabi]]'s aid was). The reason Orin was under the Master's control in the first place is further explained as well: in short, during the time after the Heroes of Melfesh went their own ways, it became clear to Orin that in order to defeat the Master in the long term, he'd have to surrender to him in the short term. By doing so, Orin was still able to dictate the terms of his contract, and used this freedom (among other things) to ensure the safety of [[Almeyra Vex|Almeyra]]. With him now no longer being under the Master's thumb, though, it is possible that said contract and its stipulations are null and void, though Orin has been trying his best to very shallowly keep the contract intact. He doubts it still is, though.

In his current state, Orin accepts his sword and gun back from the party, but entrusts it to the tavern just to be safe. His wedding ring, damaged from the earlier explosion, is kept by the party at Orin's request. When they repair it, it might help them reach Almeyra and gain her aid.

That all being said and done, the party prepares to leave for the Archives of Nethys.

Also Kyra says sebian lex happened idk I don't think there was in between scene so that might be incorrect. Oh wait she says it happened in call. Making out with Sluice and/or Lora??

== Hilltop ==

Ivy used to be a summoner, but bond with Shard is broken; might mean her magic is removed though she might have another source now. Even without magic, she's a very skilled hypnotist. She's a goblin (and therefor pretty short), wears a top hat, and has a second mind of sorts? Not like Elta; the other person's name is Ivory, Ivy had asked her to remove the Master's control if she ever fell under. Considering Ivy seems to be under the Master's control, Ivory shouldn't be trusted.

== To the Archives ==
Party heads to the portal room along with [[Lauve]]. One of the portals is lit up, with the iconography of a pendulum and a book. Shard recognizes them as Ivy's. Lauve is surprised the portal is lit at all. Elta wants to go through first without the party, Shard says "Elta, that's not a plan, that's a bit." Danalyth puts through her finger. It feels cold, like the sensation of nothingness, not unlike the weird portal before. The portal's appearance is slightly different from the other portals as well, similar to the time they went to the weird dimension. Shard sticks her head through, and sees stone ruins of an upside down clocktower, with two monsters eating a statue of Serris. Serris feels a prick in his left hand, and sees it become transparent. The party charges in to deal with the fuckery.

== What the fuck is happening ==
The party see Ojo, Ash and Goldenshade fighting off monsters. Elta prepares to fire her mortar at the monsters, as do her allies prepare to take their shots. They all attack, and combat commences. The strange crystal-like creature fascinates most of the party, the melee members take down the big guy, Elta styles on the crystal, and Leah pushes it off the ledge, into nothingness... where the memories of it are promptly taken with it. Why even is Leah standing there? Elta did nothing that fight, huh? The party inspects Serris' statue, which is missing its right arm... and so is Serris. Shard and Leah graft on a functional metal stick-arm onto the statue, and Serris' avatar gains it as well. They go to Goldenshade, who asks how and why they are here again. The party explains, but Goldenshade urges them to leave, ''now'', before 'he' comes back. Before the party can ask who it is Goldenshade is referring to, a tall, celestial-appearing creature appears, and banishes Goldenshade. They reach out, touch Elta, who promptly is shot back, dying. Party goes through portal, Shard throws up wall so the creature cannot follow.

== Okay we made it to the Archives ==
Stabilize and heal Elta, Serris remanifests his avatar to regain his arm; it works but remanifesting at all is a struggle. They head forward to the Archives, answering riddles presented by sand golems, with the final one taking Leah's blood. Inside, they see someone passed through recently, spotting trails of boots, claws, and knives. Turn mechanism, go right, big scary creature, burns Kaisume's fingerprint and returns to stone, door unlocks. Similar mechanism, opens something on the other side, go back all the way, hydra defending other button, Danalyth presses it, Hydra turns into a statue, door clicks open. Biiiiig fucking doors to the north and south. Danalyth asks the door questions with the whistle. Bunch of questions get asked, but turns out the door is already open

Korra yells she won't leave until she decapitates Mear's head from her body. When asked by Danalyth to chill, Korra replies she refuses to let a single shell of the Master live. Eleanor reiterates that things can be resolved peacefully, while Shard asks how Korra is so certain Mear is a shell. Korra claims that, beyond the obvious M name, her boss has access to a list with known Master shells, and that Mear is on it. Danalyth says that the issue Korra is concerned with is probably dealt with already, and attempts to cast Calm, though it doesn't take hold.

Shouko Kuroiwa, one of the later members of the Heroes of Melfesh, is a human thaumaturge.

She showed signs of being incredibly shy and timid, speaking with a softer voice and sitting quietly while the other party members spoke. Sometimes, on account of her role as a thaumaturge, Shouko often collected the remains of creatures under the belief that they would later be used to exploit the enemy's weakness.

Her most notable skills center around her implements, most notably the pocket mirror. She had an affinity with making a copy of herself, which served as a decoy, a second pair of hands, so on and so forth.

== Background ==
Insert some past details about Shouko having a mom or something before growing up alone in Molthune.

After her time as an enlisted soldier under Molthune's jurisdiction, Shouko discovered the feats of the legendary Heroes of Melfesh - the ones seeking to defeat the Seven Runelords - and grew to idolize them. These people were the brave warriors putting their lives on the line to save the world.

Ultimately, Shouko decided to depart from Molthune to follow the Heroes of Melfesh. She seemed to be quite on good terms with Molthune's government, but it remains unclear to this day if she had permission to depart and search for the heroes... or if she was just a deserter.

== Campaign 1 ==
Shouko's encounter with the party was quite... jarring. She had caught up to the group at some point, appearing alongside them randomly during an event on Paradise. She began traveling with them since, acting as the weaker replacement of the departing Q-yo.
