== Hilltop ==
[[Danalyth Aerydale|Danalyth]] asks if [[Orin Chappell|Orin]] has Ellie's contract. He doesn't but can put in a request. Shard gathers the party and shares what she knows about Ivy.

Ivy used to be a summoner, but bond with Shard is broken; might mean her magic is removed though she might have another source now. Even without magic, she's a very skilled hypnotist. She's a goblin (and therefor pretty short), wears a top hat, and has a second mind of sorts? Not like Elta; the other person's name is Ivory, Ivy had asked her to remove the Master's control if she ever fell under. Considering Ivy seems to be under the Master's control, Ivory shouldn't be trusted.

== To the Archives ==
Party heads to the portal room along with [[Lauve]]. One of the portals is lit up, with the iconography of a pendulum and a book. Shard recognizes them as Ivy's. Lauve is surprised the portal is lit at all. Elta wants to go through first without the party, Shard says "Elta, that's not a plan, that's a bit." Danalyth puts through her finger. It feels cold, like the sensation of nothingness, not unlike the weird portal before. The portal's appearance is slightly different from the other portals as well, similar to the time they went to the weird dimension. Shard sticks her head through, and sees stone ruins of an upside down clocktower, with two monsters eating a statue of Serris. Serris feels a prick in his left hand, and sees it become transparent. The party charges in to deal with the fuckery.

== What the fuck is happening ==
The party see Ojo, Ash and Goldenshade fighting off monsters. Elta prepares to fire her mortar at the monsters, as do her allies prepare to take their shots. They all attack, and combat commences. The strange crystal-like creature fascinates most of the party, the melee members take down the big guy, Elta styles on the crystal, and Leah pushes it off the ledge, into nothingness... where the memories of it are promptly taken with it. Why even is Leah standing there? Elta did nothing that fight, huh? The party inspects Serris' statue, which is missing its right arm... and so is Serris. Shard and Leah graft on a functional metal stick-arm onto the statue, and Serris' avatar gains it as well. They go to Goldenshade, who asks how and why they are here again. The party explains, but Goldenshade urges them to leave, ''now'', before 'he' comes back. Before the party can ask who it is Goldenshade is referring to, a tall, celestial-appearing creature appears, and banishes Goldenshade. They reach out, touch Elta, who promptly is shot back, dying. Party goes through portal, Shard throws up wall so the creature cannot follow.

== Okay we made it to the Archives ==
Stabilize and heal Elta, Serris remanifests his avatar to regain his arm; it works but remanifesting at all is a struggle. They head forward to the Archives, answering riddles presented by sand golems, with the final one taking Leah's blood. Inside, they see someone passed through recently, spotting trails of boots, claws, and knives. Turn mechanism, go right, big scary creature, burns Kaisume's fingerprint and returns to stone, door unlocks. Similar mechanism, opens something on the other side, go back all the way, hydra defending other button, Danalyth presses it, Hydra turns into a statue, door clicks open. Biiiiig fucking doors to the north and south. Danalyth asks the door questions with the whistle. Bunch of questions get asked, but turns out the door is already open. Inside we find three guys from the Crimson Clouds - Riecht nach Bohnen, Edgar Viscerate and Stitch, who is a wood golem with metal claws. We also find evil clones of the party members whose fingerprints were stolen, which are Kaisume, Leah and Danalyth. Riecht and Edgar jump into a giant hourglass while we stay behind to fight Stitch and the evil clones. After we defeat the clones and burn Stitch' wooden body, the claws try to fly away but Shard stops them using her control over metal, and traps them underneath a series of giant iron cubes. Crimie reveals that Stitch is one of their 'projects', a living weapon much like themselves. He was once a serial killer but was turned into a wood golem. The party questions what this implies about Crimie's own origin, but they refuse to elaborate. After Danalyth sneaks off with Kaisume to do some unknown shady business, the party follows the other Crimson Cloud members through the hourglass.

== The Archives ==
On the other side of the hourglass, the party finds the real Archives of Nethys, where the Archivist is being held up by [[Sorenece Sentinal]]. Victor and Eldra are there, watching her with reverence, while Riecht and Edgar try to stop her from whatever she's doing. Sorenece tells the party she's already taken care of [[Ivy]]'s 'extraction', and they can simply do her the favor of dealing with the Crimson Clouds. Shard questions what she's talking about and what she has done to Ivy, and Sorenece explains she's after something Ivy has, that allows her to change fate. She just wants to extract this gift, and will let Ivy go if she survives. Shard asks if she means [[Ivory]], and Sorenece is surprised she knows an eidolon knows that much. She talks down to Shard for being a 'facsimile of a person' and calls her an eidolon repeatedly as if it were a slur. When she tries to leave, Shard summons a wall or metal inside her portal, blocking her off as she goes through and cutting off her arm, but Sorenece doesn't respond to Shard's threats. She disappears, but not before dropping the Archivist to his seeming death and horrifically fusing her minions including Victor and Eldra into a facsimile of one of the [[Elva]] dragons. The party decides the only way to survive is to save the Archivist, and Kaisume jumps down after him to heal him while the rest of the party uses various magical books to hold off the dragon, including one that contains a fairy called [[Trinket]] and one that turns Elta into an ancient green dragon. Eventually, the Archivist simply banishes the dragon out of the library, and the party is given the chance to ask him questions. They decide to spend the next few days at the Archive to research various topics.

== Start of session ==
The party woke, and then! Woah, Korra showed up and murdered Eleanor's dragon!!

== Combat ==
Korra yells she won't leave until she decapitates Mear's head from her body. When asked by Danalyth to chill, Korra replies she refuses to let a single shell of the Master live. Eleanor reiterates that things can be resolved peacefully, while Shard asks how Korra is so certain Mear is a shell. Korra claims that, beyond the obvious M name, her boss has access to a list with known Master shells, and that Mear is on it. Danalyth says that the issue Korra is concerned with is probably dealt with already, and attempts to cast Calm, though it doesn't take hold. Elta jumps off the balcony and does a front flip (hell yeah). Shard attempts to reason with Korra, asking if she's on a time limit, and that if Korra can prove that Mear is a shell, the party will gladly assist her. Korra is concerned that giving Mear any time at all is a risk she cannot take. She strikes down Eleanor, and rushes towards the hiding Mear.

Danalyth and Kaisume attempt to slow Korra down, but are unsuccessful. Elta shoots lightning, and hurts both Korra and Kaisume. Crimie goes in for a bite, but only gets slashed in the process. Shard quickly constructs a scrap barricade, hindering Korra's path. Leah manages to heal up Eleanor, who regains consciousness. Serris tries to grapple Korra but falls flat on his ass instead.

Conscious once more, Eleanor pleads with Korra, revealing she knows about Mear being one of the Master's faces. However, Mear no longer knows who or what the Master is. Furthermore, Eleanor needs a shell of the Master nearby due to a contract she's under. Korra thinks this is stupid and idiotic and shit. Shard is visibly pissed but manages to diffuse the situation. Korra sighs, sheathes her blade, and punches Elta in the face. Shard asks one last question before Korra leaves, explaining her group is also looking to thwart the Master. Since Korra's boss has a list of shells, she asks if Korra can tell who her boss is, in case they wish to work together in the future. Korra scoffs, says she doesn't work with morons, and bounces.

== After combat ==
Eleanor shares more, doesn't want to share why the contract was made in front of everybody, but says she isn't hiding any more. Danalyth checks on Mear. as does Eleanor. Mear says she's okay. People are sad about the dragon being dead. Mear heard all of that btw since people were shouting. Angelica takes Mear, and flies off to 'take care of her' (i.e. remove that conversation from her memory).

Eleanor shares more of her predicament: during her adventures she died, then luckily got resurrected with reincarnation spell into a tiefling body. Somehow gaining devil blood created contract; she never signed it but she's still bound to it. All she knows is that she now needs to stay within a certain distance of a body of The Master, and has to obey every command they give. Thanks to an angelic relic, she no longer resembles a tiefling in body.

Danalyth asks if Eleanor is willing to part with said relic, as it can aid in her own current predicament. Unfortunately for her, Eleanor isn't willing to part with it at all. Danalyth asks if Eleanor knows about 'a great archive in the north'. Eleanor does not, but Shard remembers visiting the Archives of Nethys from her past adventures with the [[Heroes of Melfesh]]. Serris asks if he may observe the relic. Eleanor agrees, and brings it over. It is a necklace with a golden bead at the end of it, given to her by Angelica. Serris converses with it, then tries to get a sense of it. It feels overwhelming when he reaches out: it is a part of him. Like a limb he didn't know he had. Serris even finds a spot in his sword form where it would perfectly fit. Serris quickly hands the necklace back, so he doesn't have to fight the temptation of fitting the piece in.

Eleanor asks if Shard still wishes to work together, but Shard no longer thinks it's a good idea, given Mear would be under the same roof as them. She further explains that even with Mear's memories being removed, the linking between the shells might still pose a threat, and reiterates her displeasure at Eleanor not being upfront with this information. Before they leave, Serris talks one last time with the necklace, and encourages them to take a name for themself. The necklace takes up the name of [[Abel Gladuc]].

Their business concluded, the party gets guided back above water by Eleanor.

== Back above the waves ==
Back in the city, the party apologizes to the captain for leaving the cursed ship on her docks. They then make Grease blow it up. But not in the city, that would be bad. The bat suggests opening a portal to the nightmare realm for safe detonation, and sends the ship and the party there. It's not fun everyone sees their worst fears. Grease runs his hand along the boat, and causes the biggest explosion anyone has ever seen.

The party awakens the next day. Grease remembers who he is once more. He made pancakes, but they're explosive. Leah lights one, not knowing the resulting explosion would be strong enough to level a building.

The building explodes.

Vis checks on the party, wondering what the fuck happened. Danalyth hands her 20 platinum as an apology. Shard asks if the city has any resurrection magic, and Vis reveals that they now do, with the cult's divinity now having an avatar. The party heads to the lighthouse to talk with Birkstone and [[Madame Baya]].

Birkstone is told about the events under the waves, as well as Grease's recovery. When asked what the next step is, Birkstone reveals he knows exactly where the party should strike next: the [[Archives of Nethys]], where [[Ivy]] can be found, as well as [[Shouko Kuroiwa|Shouko]]. On top of that, with [[Grease]]'s help, they might be able to blow into the forbidden library as well. He also warns of another faction in play: the [[Crimson Clouds]]; the cult that raised Crimie.

Madame Baya is a bitch and shares shit with the party how fucking dare she.

Char got the party a bunch of magic items, which include a cursed tablet that bonded to Shard. She needs to complete the unfinished business of a specific dead person or become a ghost when she dies, but the tablet is too weathered to read. The party also got a portrait of [[Almeyra]] that will cross her out if she betrays the Winter Court, which is not yet crossed out. The implications of this are unclear.

Shard used the tracking gem to spy on [[Ruby]] and [[Samirah]], where she saw that Ruby is on a carriage, traveling through an unknown snowy region.

Shouko Kuroiwa

Shouko Kuroiwa, one of the later members of the Heroes of Melfesh, is a human thaumaturge.

She showed signs of being incredibly shy and timid, speaking with a softer voice and sitting quietly while the other party members spoke. Sometimes, on account of her role as a thaumaturge, Shouko often collected the remains of creatures under the belief that they would later be used to exploit the enemy's weakness.

Her most notable skills center around her implements, most notably the pocket mirror. She had an affinity with making a copy of herself, which served as a decoy, a second pair of hands, so on and so forth.

== Background ==
Insert some past details about Shouko having a mom or something before growing up alone in Molthune.

Something something Molthuni Mercenary background I'm too lazy to write right now.

After her time as an enlisted soldier under Molthune's jurisdiction, Shouko discovered the feats of the legendary Heroes of Melfesh - the ones seeking to defeat the Seven Runelords - and grew to idolize them. These people were the brave warriors putting their lives on the line to save the world.

Ultimately, Shouko decided to depart from Molthune to follow the Heroes of Melfesh. She seemed to be quite on good terms with Molthune's government, but it remains unclear to this day if she had permission to depart and search for the heroes... or if she was just a deserter.

== Campaign 1 ==
Shouko's encounter with the party was quite... jarring. She had caught up to the group at some point, appearing alongside them randomly during an event on Paradise. She began traveling with them since, acting as the weaker replacement of the departing Q-yo.

No known information on Shouko has made itself relevant. As far as the world knows, Shouko is an imaginary creature whose face has been wiped off the face of the earth, known only in passing by those who remembered the meek girl from the Melfesh days.
