Danalyth is a succubus who poses as a human and travels the world, offering her services as either a musician, dancer, or spellcaster-for-hire.
Background
Danalyth Aerydale is a succubus, born in the Outer Rifts a few decades before her arrival to Golarion. She was born alongside another succubus, Elyana, and the two of them grew close to each other, even referring to themselves as sisters. In 4710 AR, Danalyth and Elyana traversed the Worldwound and arrived to Golarion, deciding to wreak their subtle forms of havoc across the nation of Mendev for fun. They spent roughly 3 years in this cycle, moving from town to town and indulging in the commonfolk, until the more united demonic forces happened to attack the city they were staying in, Kenabres, and Elyana was left at death's door. She sent Danalyth away before she was killed too, telling her to travel the world and live on, and Danalyth fled to join Kenabres's refugees moving to Zharech. Disillusioned with the demonic "cause" and shellshocked by her sister's death, Danalyth took on her new name, rejected her demonic heritage, and leaned more into her music as a form of escapism, using her performances as both an outlet for her emotions and a way to make a living.
She stayed in Zharech, doing music and dance performances for the local gladiators, and eventually started dating one of them, a human man named Vorgan, all the while keeping her true identity hidden. After about 4 years, they got engaged, but several months before their planned wedding date the success of the Fifth Crusade and sealing of the Worldwound were announced and touted across Mendev, and a few weeks later Danalyth decided to come clean to her fiance about her true ancestry. He was horrified. Vorgan had lost family in the crusades of the past, and finding out that the woman he loved was a demon the whole time was too much for him to bear. He raised his sword at her, but couldn't bring himself to swing it down, and instead just told her to leave, so she did in floods of tears. That night, she left Mendev and never returned.
For the next 8 years, Danalyth followed Elyana's last words, traveling and seeing the world, living on despite the pain. She spent that time using everything she had access to to survive and make her way forward, using either her performative talent or inherent charms to find places to stay, traveling companions to keep her safe, and occasional one-night stands. Sometimes, she would offer up her magical capabilities as well, though she didn't rely on that as often. Over time, she began to see her life as one she had to live for Elyana's sake, not her own. Seeing the sights her sister never could, trying the cuisine she'd never be able to taste. Gathering up all of these experiences so that when she does finally die, she can hopefully meet Elyana in some afterlife and share them with her. That is, until she was approached by a half-oni while staying on the archipelago of Iblydos and asked to assist in a prison break that would change the trajectory of her life.
